Silsbee is a perfect 6-0 against Jasper since November of 2015 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Friday. The Tigers will be playing at home against the Bulldogs at 7:30 p.m. The timing is sure in Silsbee's favor as the team sits on six straight wins at home (dating back to last season) while Jasper has been banged up by four consecutive losses on the road.

Silsbee made up a huge gap compared to their last game against West Orange-Stark, but they still couldn't quite topple them. The Tigers fell just short of the Mustangs by a score of 33-30 on Friday. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest loss the Tigers have suffered against the Mustangs since October 12, 2018.

Despite the defeat, Silsbee got top-tier performance from Jacaleb Johnson, who rushed for 126 yards and one score, and also threw for 64 yards and a pair of touchdowns.

Meanwhile, Jasper played a tough contest on Friday in which they were outscored in every quarter. They lost 32-7 to Shepherd.

Silsbee's loss was their first in the district, dropping their district record down to 2-1 and their overall record down to 5-3. As for Jasper, their defeat dropped their record down to 1-7.

Silsbee skirted past Jasper 49-47 when the teams last played back in November of 2024. Will the Tigers repeat their success, or do the Bulldogs have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
