Volleyball Recap: Potomac School Panthers vs. Georgetown Day Mighty Hoppers
Potomac School is ranked highly in their home state and on Tuesday they took on another highly ranked team in the form of Georgetown Day. The Panthers came up short against the Mighty Hoppers, falling 3-0. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest loss the Panthers have suffered since September 17, 2024.
Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-10, 25-2, 25-15.
Avery Nierenberg paced Potomac School's offense, picking up six kills. Nierenberg got some help from Sophia Grimm and her seven assists. Lily Gurney controlled things from the service line, finishing with two aces.
This is the second loss in a row for Potomac School and nudges their season record down to 4-4. As for Georgetown Day, the victory (which was their fifth in a row) raised their record to 10-1.
