Softball Recap: Montevallo Wins Going Away Against Fairfield

Montevallo won against Comer last Tuesday with 13 runs and they decided to stick to that run total again on Thursday. Everything went the Montevallo Bulldogs' way against the Fairfield Tigers as the Montevallo Bulldogs made off with a 13-1 win. The result was nothing new for the Bulldogs, who have now won four contests by ten runs or more so far this season.

Montevallo's victory was their third straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 6-3. Those victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 1.3 runs on average over those games. As for Fairfield, they are on a 12-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-8.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Montevallo will get to enjoy the win for a while: their next game is against Demopolis at 5:30 p.m. on April 1st. Fairfield also won't see the field for a while: their next game is against Pleasant Grove at 4:00 p.m. on March 31st.
