Basketball Recap: Browne Takes a Loss

If Browne was feeling good fresh off their 94-45 takedown of Alhambra on Wednesday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Bruins fell 73-62 to the Red Mountain Mountain Lions on Thursday. The Bruins lost against the Mountain Lions in their previous head to head back in December of 2024, too, but the margin this time around was much closer than the 87-38 score last time.

Browne has also been struggling recently as they've lost four of their last five contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 3-5 record this season. Those losses can't be blamed on the team's offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 67.0 points over those games. As for Red Mountain, they now have a winning record of 3-2.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Browne will host Shadow Ridge at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The Bruins will need to watch out since the Stallions have now posted at least 55 points in their last four matchups. As for Red Mountain, they will square off against Hamilton at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
