Basketball Game Preview: North Thurston Rams vs. Beamer Titans

Having just played yesterday, the North Thurston Rams will jump right back in to play the Beamer Titans at 7:00 p.m. on Saturday. North Thurston has been getting the ball to fall more lately as they've increased their point totals each of their last four games.

North Thurston is headed in fresh off scoring the most points they have all season. They snuck past White River with a 93-89 win on Friday. With that victory, the Rams brought their scoring average up to 53.4 points per game.

North Thurston's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Kurt Cavalier led the charge by going 8 of 16 on his way to 28 points and five rebounds. Cavalier is trending in the right direction considering he's improved his point production for four straight games. The team also got some help courtesy of Micah Anderson, who went 9 of 17 on his way to 20 points and five rebounds.

North Thurston was working as a unit and finished the game with 17 assists. That's the most assists they've managed all season.

Meanwhile, Beamer came tearing into Friday's matchup with three straight wins (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 26 points) and they left with even more momentum. They walked away with a 55-48 win over the Eagles. That's two games straight that the Titans have won by exactly seven points.

North Thurston has been performing well recently as they've won five of their last six contests, which provided a massive bump to their 6-4 record this season. The wins came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 62.3 points per game. As for Beamer, their victory bumped their record up to 7-3.
