Soccer Recap: Greater Nanticoke Area Takes a Loss

Greater Nanticoke Area lost against Mid Valley back in September and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Saturday. The Trojans came up short against the Spartans, falling 7-0. While losing is never fun, Greater Nanticoke Area can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Pennsylvania soccer rankings (they are ranked 222nd, while Mid Valley are ranked 69th).

Greater Nanticoke Area's loss ended a three-match streak of away wins and brought them to 8-9. As for Mid Valley, they have been performing well recently as they've won eight of their last ten matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 15-4 record this season.

Greater Nanticoke Area does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Mid Valley, they wasted no time getting back out on the pitch and have already played their next matchup, a 6-1 victory against Lake-Lehman on the 29th.
