Volleyball Recap: Manawa Takes a Loss

Manawa lost against Athens back in September of 2023 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Saturday. The Wolves fell just short of the Bluejays by a score of 2-1.

In an exciting match in which no team claimed back-to-back wins, Manawa sadly wound up on the wrong side. The final score came out to 25-17, 23-25, 15-1.

Despite the loss, Manawa still got an impressive performance from Katelyn Krueger, who had eight digs and two aces.

Manawa now has a losing record of 11-12. As for Athens, they pushed their record up to 9-14 with the win, which was their fifth straight at home dating back to last season.

Manawa didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next match, a 3-2 victory against Menominee Nation on the 23rd. As for Athens, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next contest, a 2-0 loss against Auburndale on the 20th.
