With a playoff win on the line, College Park rose to the challenge on Tuesday. They blew past the Casa Grande Gauchos 10-0. The win was nothing new for the Falcons as they're now sitting on six straight.

Not much got past James Voorhies, who gave up just five hits to keep Casa Grande off the board. Voorhies has been nothing but reliable on the mound: he hasn't tossed less than five strikeouts in nine consecutive appearances.

At the plate, TJ Reinhart and Desmond Cobb did most of the damage at the plate: Reinhart went 2-for-3 with two RBI and one run, while Cobb got on base in two of his four plate appearances with two runs, one stolen base, and one RBI. Vincent 'Tino' Vasell was another key player, going 2-for-4 with two runs and one RBI.

College Park was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .375. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Casa Grande only posted a batting average of .200.

College Park pushed their record up to 17-10 with the victory, which was their fifth straight at home. Those home wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 0.8 runs on average over those games. As for Casa Grande, their defeat dropped their record down to 20-8.

College Park and Casa Grande are set to take part in some playoff action in their next matches. The Falcons are taking a road trip to take on De La Salle at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday. The Spartans' pitching crew has only allowed two runs per game this season, so College Park's hitters will have their work cut out for them. As for Casa Grande, they will challenge Foothill at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday. The Gauchos' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Falcons have averaged an impressive 7.7 runs per game this season.
