Basketball Recap: Grant Lancers vs. Elsinore Tigers
Two teams were on the hunt for playoff glory, but only Grant walked away with it. They walked away with a 76-65 win over the Elsinore Tigers on Tuesday.

RONALD MERRILL was his usual excellent self, shooting 45% from the field en route to 24 points and three steals. The matchup was his fourth in a row with at least 22 points. Isreal Mullings was another key player, going 5-for-12 on his way to 14 points and six rebounds.
Grant was working as a unit and finished the game with 17 assists. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Elsinore only nine assists.
Elsinore's loss shouldn't obscure the performances of Brandon Boatman, who shot 44% from the field to rack up 21 points and six boards, and Kamrynn Nathan, who went 9-for-18 en route to 26 points and three steals. Nathan is on a roll when it comes to points, as he's now scored 19 or more in each of the last four games he's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Ledgend Johnson, who posted four points and seven rebounds.
Grant has been performing well recently as they've won five of their last six games. That's provided a nice bump to their 18-14 record this season. Elsinore's defeat ended a three-game streak of away wins and brought them to 21-12.
Coming up, Grant will take on Pacifica at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. Grant has given up an average of 54.9 points per game this season, so hopefully the team got some defensive drills in this week. Elsinore does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
