Football Game Preview: Clinton Red Tornadoes vs. Tuttle Tigers + Official Tickets

The Clinton Red Tornadoes will head out on the road to take on the Tuttle Tigers at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The two teams are sauntering into the matchup backed by comfortable wins in their prior games.

Clinton is headed in fresh off scoring the most points they have all season. They blew past Douglass 48-16 on Friday. The high-scoring effort was just what the Red Tornadoes needed considering they were shut out in their previous contest.

Meanwhile, Tuttle put another one in the bag on Friday to keep their perfect season alive. They breezed past Harrah to the tune of 62-8. The Tigers pushed the score to 55-0 by the end of the third, a deficit the Panthers cut but never quite recovered from.

Tuttle's win came from a few key players Clinton will need to keep an eye on. One of the most notable was Shawn Rounsaville Jr, who rushed for 96 yards and three TDs on only ten carries. Jordan Lane was in the mix as well, providing Tuttle with two touchdowns.

Special teams played a big role in the game for Tuttle, adding 14 points to the final score. The biggest highlight from special teams (and perhaps the team as a whole) came courtesy of Lane, who ran a kickoff back for a touchdown.

The victory got Clinton back to even at 5-5. As for Tuttle, their win bumped their record up to 10-0.

Everything came up roses for Clinton against Tuttle in their previous meeting back in December of 2021, as the squad secured a 35-0 victory. Do the Red Tornadoes have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Tigers turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
