Football Recap: Atlantic County Institute of Tech Sets Scoring Season-High Against Egg Harbor Township

Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Atlantic County Institute of Tech). They put the hurt on the Egg Harbor Township Eagles with a sharp 33-7 win on Thursday. The high-scoring effort was just what Atlantic County Institute of Tech needed considering they were shut out in their previous contest.

Atlantic County Institute of Tech's victory was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Joseph Handle, who threw for 134 yards and three TDs on only 12 passes. The dominant performance also gave Handle a new career-high in passer rating (143.8). Landon Peddicord helped Handle out on the ground, rushing for 85 yards and one score on only five carries.

Atlantic County Institute of Tech was unstoppable on the ground and finished the game with 218 rushing yards. That's the most rushing yards they've managed all season.

Atlantic County Institute of Tech didn't go easy on the quarterback and picked off two passes before the game was over. The picks came courtesy of Lemuel Anglo and Peddicord. Peddicord got in on the action too, converting a pick into a touchdown.

The win snapped Atlantic County Institute of Tech's losing streak at five games and leaves them with a 3-5 record. As for Egg Harbor Township, they are on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-8.

As of now, neither Atlantic County Institute of Tech nor Egg Harbor Township have any future games scheduled.
