Helix added to the longest winning streak in Grossmont - Hills this week by beating Steele Canyon, 14-13. The victory was the fifth in a row for the team.
Helix and the Cougars played the most contested game in the league this week, with Helix eventually emerging with a 14-13 victory. Nathan Stinson ran for 117 yards during the win.
Anthony Lawrence threw for 240 yards and 5 touchdowns.
Lawrence put up the best numbers in passing as Grossmont defeated West Hills. Lawrence's favorite target this week was Christian Brooks, who caught 7 passes for 112 yards.
The Foothillers' Lawrence and Brooks led the league in both passing and receiving yards. 6-2 quarterback Lawrence has thrown for 2,680 yards this season, while Brooks has 78 catches for 1,045 yards. Noah Ylagan from the Wolf Pack leads the league in rushing with 472 yards.
West Hills fell to Grossmont 48-6 last week, the largest margin of any game.
