Baseball Recap: Normangee Comes Up Short

If Normangee was riding high fresh off their 10-1 takedown of Latexo on Tuesday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Panthers fell 10-5 to the Centerville Tigers on Friday. The loss continues a trend for the Panthers in their meetings with the Tigers: they've now lost six in a row.

Marshall Harris was cooking despite his team's loss, going 2-for-4 with two doubles, two RBI, and one run. Another player making a difference was Eduardo Garcia, who went 2-for-3 with one stolen base and one run.

Normangee's defeat dropped their record down to 8-3. As for Centerville, their win was their fifth straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 9-5-1.
