Baseball Recap: Boone County Comes Up Short

Boone County came into this matchup off a tough 11-run defeat on Monday. This time they kept things ultra-competitive, but unfortunately the final result was the same. They fell just short of the Cooper Jaguars by a score of 5-3 on Tuesday. The Rebels haven't had much luck with the Jaguars recently, as the team has come up short the last seven times they've met.

Boone County saw seven different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Mason Coughenour, who went 1-for-2 with one run and one RBI.

Boone County's loss dropped their record down to 3-9. As for Cooper, their victory was their first in the district, bumping their district record up to 1-2 and their overall record up to 6-10-1.

While Boone County had to take the loss, they won't have to wait long to give it another shot: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 5:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
