Basketball Recap: Kingsburg's Loss Ends Four-Game Winning Streak at Home

If Kingsburg was riding high fresh off their 68-26 takedown of Washington Union last Friday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Kingsburg Vikings fell 72-64 to the Sierra Pacific Golden Bears on Wednesday. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Vikings of the 63-60 defeat they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in February of 2024.

Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Sierra Pacific to victory, but perhaps none more so than Colin Dodd, who posted 20 points and seven rebounds. Owen Parry was another key player, putting up 16 points along with five boards and three steals.

Kingsburg's loss ended a four-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 8-11. As for Sierra Pacific, the win was the third in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 9-11.

Kingsburg will venture away from home to challenge Immanuel at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Kingsburg is facing Immanuel at the right time seeing as Immanuel is stuck on a four-game losing streak. As for Sierra Pacific, they will host Central Valley Christian at 6:30 p.m. on Friday. Sierra Pacific has been dominant on offense recently, having racked up an incredible 223 points over their last three matchups.
