Volleyball Recap: Mapletown Comes Up Short + How To Watch

Mapletown was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They lost 3-0 to the Carmichaels Mighty Mikes. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Mighty Mikes this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 3-0 back in September.

Mapletown took the loss but they managed to make steady progress, increasing their score in every set they played. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-14, 25-21, 25-22.

Treslee Weston paced Mapletown's offense, picking up eight kills. Weston got some help from Marley Shiflett and her 14 assists. Weston was also solid from the service line: she led the team with three aces.

Mapletown's defeat dropped their record down to 4-9. As for Carmichaels, their victory bumped their record up to 5-13.

We've got plenty of inter-conference action coming up soon. Mapletown will face off against rival West Greene at 5:30 p.m. on Thursday. Meanwhile, Carmichaels is set to challenge their familiar foe Avella at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday.
