Hewitt-Trussville faced Briarwood Christian in a battle between two of the state's top teams on Thursday. The Huskies came out on top against the Lions by a score of 3-1. The victory was familiar territory for the Huskies, who have now won three contests in a row.

Hewitt-Trussville walked away with the win (and looked especially good in the fourth set). Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-18, 26-24, 15-25, 25-15.

Hewitt-Trussville's victory bumped their record up to 12-6. As for Briarwood Christian, the defeat snapped their winning streak at 14 games and leaves them with a 19-2 record.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Hewitt-Trussville will host Springville at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Briarwood Christian, they will welcome Central of Clay County at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
