Baseball Game Preview: Highland Scotties vs. Goldendale Timberwolves

Highland is 1-9 against Goldendale since April of 2019 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Tuesday. The Scotties will head out to challenge the Timberwolves at 3:00 p.m. Highland will aim to continue their three-game streak of scoring more runs each contest than the last.

Highland took a six-run loss the last time they faced off against White Swan, but this time they managed to keep it close and that made all the difference. The Scotties sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 13-12 win over the Cougars on Friday. The victory was some much needed relief for the Scotties as it spelled an end to their eight-game losing streak.

Meanwhile, Goldendale came up short against River View on Friday, falling 11-1. The defeat continues a trend for the Timberwolves in their meetings with the Panthers: they've now lost seven in a row.

Goldendale now has a losing record of 3-4-1. As for Highland, their win was their first in the district, bumping their district record up to 1-3 and their overall record up to 3-10.

Highland might still be hurting after the 16-1 loss they got from Goldendale in their previous meeting back in April of 2025. Can the Scotties avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
