Football Game Preview: Walled Lake Western Warriors vs. Brother Rice Warriors + How To Watch

Walled Lake Western will look to defend their home field on Friday against Brother Rice at 7:00 p.m. Walled Lake Western knows how to get points on the board -- the squad has finished with 31 points or more in their past four games -- so hopefully Brother Rice likes a good challenge.

Walled Lake Western is headed in fresh off scoring the most points they have all season. They claimed a resounding 63-21 win over Walled Lake Central. The final result isn't all that surprising considering the Warriors' considerable advantage in MaxPreps' Michigan football rankings (they are ranked 53rd, while the Vikings are ranked 305th).

Donovan Triplett went supernova, rushing for 245 yards and four TDs on only 15 carries. His rushing production has been exceptional as that marked his fifth straight game with at least 127 rushing yards dating back to last season. The team also got some help courtesy of David Krall, who threw for 141 yards and three touchdowns on only nine passes.

They were just one part of a punishing run game: Walled Lake Western was unstoppable on the ground and finished the game with 281 rushing yards. That's the most rushing yards they've posted since back in November of 2024.

Walled Lake Western didn't go easy on the quarterback and picked off two passes before the game was over. The picks came courtesy of Dekoreon Johnson and Lucas Hoffmeyer.

Meanwhile, Brother Rice entered their tilt with Sterling Heights Stevenson on Friday with two consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with three. They walked away with a 24-15 victory over the Titans.

Walled Lake Western's record now sits at 7-2. As for Brother Rice, they now have a winning record of 5-4.
