Baseball Recap: Bountiful Takes a Loss

Bountiful was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their fifth straight defeat. They fell 11-8 to the Woods Cross Wildcats. Unfortunately, that's the third time they've come up short against the Wildcats this season, with their most recent loss being a 4-3 defeat on Wednesday.

Bountiful got a big performance out of Tait Caldwell, who went 2-for-4 with two doubles and one run. The team also got some help courtesy of Josh Haslem, who went 2-for-3 with two runs and one stolen base.

Bountiful's loss dropped their record down to 7-11. As for Woods Cross, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won seven of their last eight games. That's provided a massive bump to their 12-7 record this season.

Bountiful will face off against Skyline at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Woods Cross, they will venture away from home to take on Weber at 3:30 p.m. on Friday.
