Soccer Recap: Stargate School Beats Pueblo Central for Their Third Straight Victory

Two teams were on the hunt for playoff glory, but only Stargate School walked away with it. They narrowly escaped with a victory as the team sidled past the Pueblo Central Wildcats 2-1. The final result isn't all that surprising considering Stargate School's considerable advantage in MaxPreps' Colorado soccer rankings (they are ranked 42nd, while Pueblo Central are ranked 144th).

Matthew Garcia was the driving force of Stargate School's attack as he scored both of Stargate School's goals, bringing his season total up to three goals.

The win (which was Stargate School's third in a row) raised their record to 10-3-3. As for Pueblo Central, they suffered their first road defeat, dropping their record down to 9-5-2.

Stargate School didn't take long to hit the pitch again: they've already played their next match, a 3-2 loss against Eagle Ridge Academy on the 4th. Pueblo Central does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
