Volleyball Recap: Kohler Comes Up Short

It's hard to turn regular season success into postseason wins, a fact Kohler can now relate to. They fell just short of the Sheboygan Area Lutheran Crusaders by a score of 3-2 on Thursday. The Blue Bombers' defeat continues a trend for the team, making it four in a row.

Kohler wouldn't go down easily and took Sheboygan Area Lutheran into a fifth set but they suffered a heartbreaking two-point loss. The match finished with set scores of 25-21, 17-25, 20-25, 25-15, 16-14.

Sheboygan Area Lutheran found their leader in sophomore Elayna Mueller, who had 13 digs and three aces.

Kohler's loss dropped their record down to 11-18. As for Sheboygan Area Lutheran, the win (which was their fourth in a row) raised their record to 14-17.

Kohler does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Sheboygan Area Lutheran, they have already played their next match, a 3-0 defeat against Heritage Christian on the 25th.
