Football Recap: Marshall Goodner and Drake Fraizer Pace Mcminn County Defense + How To Watch

McMinn County and Lincoln County squared off in some playoff action on Thursday, but McMinn County had to settle for second. They came up short against the Falcons, falling 34-13. Having soared to a lofty 50 points in the game before, the Cherokees couldn't push the score so high this time.

Despite the loss, McMinn County still got an impressive performance from Lincoln Watson, who rushed for 95 yards on only ten carries.

McMinn County didn't go easy on the quarterback and picked off two passes before the game was over. The picks came courtesy of Marshall Goodner and Drake Fraizer.

Lincoln County's win was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Trashawn Jean, who rushed for 43 yards and two touchdowns, and also picked up 36 receiving yards and one TD. The Falcons also got a significant boost from Carsen Carter, who ran away from the competition to the tune of 118 yards.

McMinn County has traveled a rocky road recently, having lost four of their last five contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 6-5 record this season. As for Lincoln County, they pushed their record up to 9-2 with the victory, which was their sixth straight at home.

McMinn County does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Lincoln County, they will challenge Powell at 7:00 p.m. on the 14th.
