Baseball Game Preview: Gloucester County Tech vs. Kingsway Dragons

Gloucester County Tech is 2-8 against Kingsway since April of 2019 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Monday. Gloucester County Tech will take on Kingsway at 4:00 p.m. This will be Gloucester County Tech's first chance to prove their worth in the conference.

Gloucester County Tech is headed into Monday's matchup looking for a big change in momentum after dropping their fourth straight game on Friday. They were a single run away from ending the streak, but they lost a 3-2 heartbreaker at the hands of Woodstown.

Gloucester County Tech saw five different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Phil Murphy, who went 1-for-2 with one stolen base and one RBI. That RBI was Murphy's first of the season.

Kingsway never got on the board in their matchup on Thursday, but that sure wasn't the case in their game against Sterling on Friday. They were the clear victors by a 14-2 margin over the Silver Knights.

Kevin Magsam looked comfortable as he tossed three innings while giving up no earned runs off two hits.

On the hitting side, Logan Taylor was incredible, going a perfect 3-for-3 with three runs, one triple, and two RBI. That's the most RBI he has posted since back in April of 2024. Cameron Stephenson was another key player, scoring three runs and stealing a base while going 2-for-2.

Kingsway now has a winning record of 1-0-1. As for Gloucester County Tech, their defeat dropped their record down to 0-4.

Gloucester County Tech couldn't quite get it done against Kingsway in their previous meeting back in May of 2024 as they fell 5-0. Can Gloucester County Tech avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
