Soccer Game Preview: Clarksville Academy vs. Friendship Christian

The Clarksville Academy Cougars will venture away from home to face off against the Friendship Christian Commanders at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday.

Friendship Christian will have to contend with a Clarksville Academy squad hungry for a victory, something the team hasn't seen yet this season. Clarksville Academy and East Robertson finished up on equal footing with a 2-2 draw last Thursday. There's a chance things could've gone differently had Clarksville Academy not been charged with a red card from Declan Morgan.

Logan Gibson was the only thing that stood between Clarksville Academy and a shutout considering he scored both of Clarksville Academy's goals, bringing his season total up to six goals.

Meanwhile, there's no place like home for Friendship Christian, who bounced back after a loss on the road on Saturday. They won by a goal and slipped past Nashville Christian 1-0. The win was some much needed relief for Friendship Christian as it spelled an end to their four-game losing streak.

Clarksville Academy's draw gives them a new season record of 0-8-1. As for Friendship Christian, their victory bumped their record up to 2-4-1.

Clarksville Academy might still be hurting after the 3-0 defeat they got from Friendship Christian when the teams last played back in April of 2024. Can the Cougars avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
