After having lost a blowout in their previous game against West Franklin, Central Heights was happy to have turned things around on Thursday. Their pitchers stepped up to hand Northeast an 18-0 shutout. The result was nothing new for Central Heights, who have now won 13 contests by six runs or more so far this season.

Central Heights' victory bumped their record up to 15-3. As for Northeast, they dropped their record down to 8-9 with the loss, which was their fourth straight at home.

The teams didn't have to wait long for a rematch: Central Heights beat Northeast by a score of 22-1 later that day.
