High Island won the last time they faced Spurger and things went their way on Friday too. The Cardinals came out on top against the Pirates by a score of 3-1. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Cardinals.

Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-17, 25-22, 24-26, 25-23.

High Island's victory bumped their record up to 2-5. As for Spurger, their defeat dropped their record down to 1-9.

We've got plenty of inter-district action coming up soon. High Island will challenge rival Burkeville at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Meanwhile, Spurger is set to square off against their familiar foe Hull-Daisetta at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
