Basketball Recap: Cramerton Christian Academy Takes a Loss

Cramerton Christian Academy extended their losing streak to three on Tuesday, dropping them down to 1-5. They took a blow against the Faith Christian Eagles, falling 67-35. The Crusaders were down 51-26 at the end of the third quarter, and things only got worse from there.

As for Faith Christian, the victory (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 8-2. They have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won three matchups by 32 points or more this season.

Leading Faith Christian to victory were Hayden Arnett and Levi Brown. Arnett shot 64% from the field on his way to 18 points in addition to seven steals and six assists, while Brown dropped a double-double with 21 points and 12 boards. Those 21 points gave Brown a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Collin Frye, who posted ten points.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming contests. Cramerton Christian Academy will take on New Bern Christian Academy in a tournament on Thursday. As for Faith Christian, they will venture away from home to square off against Rockwell Christian School at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday. The Chargers have been getting the ball to fall more lately as they've increased their point totals each of their last four games.
