Baseball Recap: Seton Hall Prep Extends Road Winning Streak to Nine

While Seton Hall Prep put up some runs on Thursday, the same can't be said for Livingston. The Pirates came out on top against the Lancers by a score of 4-0. The Pirates have seen this before: they got the W the last time they saw the Lancers, too.

Patrick Cassels made a big impact while hitting and pitching. He tossed one inning while giving up no earned runs or hits. Cassels was also big at the plate, going 1-for-3 with one triple and two RBI.

In other pitching news, Marcelo Harsch tossed a big game, not allowing a single earned run and allowing only one hit while striking out seven over six innings pitched.

Cassels wasn't the only one making solid contact as three players wound up with at least one hit. One of them was Santino Czarecki, who went 2-for-3 with one stolen base and one RBI.

Seton Hall Prep's victory was their ninth straight on the road dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 2-0. Those road wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 7.3 runs over those games. As for Livingston, they now have a losing record of 1-2.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Seton Hall Prep will take on Randolph at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday. As for Livingston, they will face off against Rutherford at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday. The Bulldogs will roll in looking for their fourth straight victory, something the Lancers surely won't give up without a fight.
