Basketball Game Preview: Pike Valley Panthers vs. Peabody-Burns Warriors

After both having extra time off, the Pike Valley Panthers and the Peabody-Burns Warriors will dust off their jerseys to take on one another at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Given that the two teams suffered a loss in their last games, they both have a little extra motivation heading into this match.

Last Friday, Pike Valley came up short against Sylvan-Lucas and fell 57-44. The defeat continues a trend for the Panthers in their matchups with the Mustangs: they've now lost eight in a row.

The loss doesn't tell the whole story though, as several players had good games. One of the most active was Andrew Cooper, who almost dropped a double-double on 11 points and nine rebounds. He is also on a roll when it comes to steals, as he's now grabbed three or more in the last three games he's played. Another player making a difference was Braxton Patterson, who posted eight points and eight rebounds.

Meanwhile, Peabody-Burns also suffered a loss in their last game, but this one to Herington by a score of 57-45.

Peabody-Burns' loss dropped their record down to 1-3. As for Pike Valley, their defeat dropped their record down to 2-4.
