Football Recap: Clarksburg Comes Up Short + How To Watch

Clarksburg and Churchill squared off in some playoff action on Thursday, but Clarksburg had to settle for second. They took a blow against the Bulldogs, falling 36-6. The Coyotes haven't had much luck with the Bulldogs recently, as the team has come up short the last five times they've met.

When it comes to explaining why Clarksburg lost, don't look at Bryce Evans. Despite the final result, he picked up 58 receiving yards and one score, and also rushed for 58 yards.

Churchill's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Hunter Humphries led the charge by rushing for 52 yards and a pair of TDs, while also throwing for 131 yards and one touchdown. Another player making a difference was Noah Zhang, who rushed for 115 yards and one score.

Clarksburg's defeat dropped their record down to 4-6. As for Churchill, the win (which was their fifth in a row) raised their record to 9-1.

Clarksburg does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Churchill, they will venture away from home to take on Richard Montgomery at 6:30 p.m. on the 14th.
