Football Game Preview: Tumwater Thunderbirds vs. East Valley Red Devils + How To Watch

The Tumwater Thunderbirds will take on the East Valley Red Devils at 3:00 p.m. on Saturday. Both teams are coming into the game red-hot, with Tumwater sitting on ten straight victories and East Valley on 12.

Tumwater is on a roll after a high-stakes playoff matchup on Saturday. They blew past Franklin Pierce 27-6. Considering the Thunderbirds have won ten contests by more than 19 points this season, Saturday's blowout was nothing new.

Meanwhile, East Valley faced Lynden in a battle between two of the state's top teams on Saturday. The Red Devils sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 27-24 win over the Lions.

Tumwater better keep an eye on Cody Gasseling. He was instrumental in East Valley's win, rushing for 132 yards and two TDs while picking up 7.3 yards per carry, and also picking up 31 receiving yards and one touchdown. Gasseling has been hot recently, having posted two or more rushing touchdowns the last three times he's played. Jaxon Berg was another key player, throwing for 105 yards and a pair of touchdowns.

Tumwater's record is now 10-1. As for East Valley, their record now sits at 12-0.
