Forge Christian benefitted from McCord in 9-3 victory
Forge Christian was led to victory by Jeffrey McCord, who turned in his biggest game of the season on Thursday. McCord was dynamite, striking out six batters over seven innings while giving up just one earned (and two unearned) runs off six hits (and not a single walk).
McCord and Forge Christian will head out on the road to square off against Prospect Ridge Academy at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday. McCord has dominated as far as earned runs are concerned (he's averaged 0.4 per game this season), but he's got his work cut out for him considering Prospect Ridge Academy has only allowed 3.11 per game this season.
