Volleyball Recap: Marty Indian Comes Up Short

Marty Indian suffered their biggest loss since September 23rd on Thursday. They came up short against the Irene/Wakonda Eagles, falling 3-0. The Braves just can't catch a break and have now endured three defeats in a row.

The match finished with set scores of 25-12, 25-15, 25-12.

Irene/Wakonda found their leader in sophomore Ava George, who had five aces. Those five aces set a new season-high mark for George.

Marty Indian's loss dropped their record down to 2-19. As for Irene/Wakonda, they pushed their record up to 7-14 with the victory, which was their third straight at home.

Coming up, Marty Indian will square off against Omaha Nation on Tuesday. As for Irene/Wakonda, they will take on Canistota at 7:30 p.m. on Monday.
