Tampa Catholic put another one in the bag on Tuesday to keep their perfect season alive. They walked away with a 6-1 win over the Shorecrest Prep Chargers. That result was just more of the same for these two, as the Crusaders also won the last time the pair played back in February of 2018.

Tampa Catholic got a great performance from Drew Dunlop as he struck out ten batters over five innings while giving up just one earned run off one hit. Dunlop has been consistent recently: he hasn't given up more than two hits any time he's pitched this season.

On the hitting side, the team relied heavily on Cole Bitman, who went 1-for-3 with one home run and two RBI. The team also got some help courtesy of Carson Arnold, who scored two runs and stole a base while going 1-for-2.

Tampa Catholic's victory was their tenth straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 11-0. Those victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 1.6 runs on average over those games. As for Shorecrest Prep, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost three of their last four contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 3-3 record this season.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Tampa Catholic will venture away from home to challenge Jesuit at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Shorecrest Prep, they will face off against Bell Creek Academy at 4:00 p.m. on Friday.
