Basketball Recap: Bruce Randolph Comes Up Short

Bruce Randolph lost against Lincoln back in December of 2023 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. The Bruce Randolph Grizzlies fell just short of the Lincoln Lancers by a score of 54-51.

Lincoln was led to victory by Adeshina Alassani and Godwin Kakule. Alassani dropped a double-double on 15 points and 18 rebounds, while Kakule went 6 of 10 from beyond the arc on his way to 20 points. Alassani has been hot, having posted nine or more boards the last five times he's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Yangfeng Lei, who posted eight points and five rebounds.

Bruce Randolph dropped their record down to 2-6 with the loss, which was their seventh straight on the road dating back to last season. As for Lincoln, their win was their first in the league, bumping their league record up to 1-2 and their overall record up to 3-6.

Bruce Randolph will challenge KIPP Denver Collegiate at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Bruce Randolph is facing KIPP Denver Collegiate at the right time seeing as KIPP Denver Collegiate is stuck on a three-game losing streak. As for Lincoln, they will square off against Robert F. Smith STEAM Academy at 6:00 p.m. on Friday.
