Volleyball Game Preview: CORE Butte Lynx vs. Burney Raiders + How To Watch

The CORE Butte Lynx will face off against the Burney Raiders at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday. Given that the two teams suffered a loss in their last games, they both have a little extra motivation heading into this matchup.

CORE Butte is probably headed into the match with a chip on their shoulder considering Redding Christian just ended the team's four-match winning streak on Wednesday. They fell just short of the Lions by a score of 3-2.

CORE Butte started the match hot and won the first two sets, but they struggled down the stretch and lost the last three. The final score came out to 23-25, 23-25, 25-21, 25-23, 15-11.

Meanwhile, Burney came up short against Redding Christian on Tuesday, falling 3-0.

Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-19, 25-13, 25-6.

Burney's defeat dropped their record down to 10-15. As for CORE Butte, their loss dropped their record down to 17-7.

CORE Butte took their win against Burney in their previous meeting on October 7th by a conclusive 3-0 score. One of the biggest obstacles the team faced in that game was the Raiders' Alexis Witzel, who had 42 digs and three blocks.
