Volleyball Recap: Cedar Catholic Comes Up Short

Cedar Catholic was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their fifth straight loss. They came up short against the Laurel-Concord-Coleridge Bears, falling 3-0. The Trojans were not able to make up for their defeat to the Bears from their previous meeting back in October of 2024.

Cedar Catholic was was forced to take the loss, but they sure made Laurel-Concord-Coleridge work for it, especially in the first set. The final score came out to 27-25, 25-10, 25-17.

Addison Walter paced Cedar Catholic's offense, picking up six kills. Walter got some help from Kally Becker and her 13 assists. Walter was also solid from the service line: she led the team with two aces.

Cedar Catholic's loss dropped their record down to 9-16. As for Laurel-Concord-Coleridge, their win was their seventh straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 24-3.

Cedar Catholic has already played their next matchup, a 3-2 victory against Boone Central on the 16th. As for Laurel-Concord-Coleridge, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next contest, a 3-0 win against Elgin/Pope John on the 16th.
