Southwood had already won eight in a row and they went ahead and made it nine on Thursday. Everything went their way against the Whitko Wildcats as they made off with a 3-0 victory. The Knights have seen this before: they got the W the last time they saw the Wildcats, too.

Not only was the match a shutout, it was a big one: Southwood took every set by at least 13 points. The final score came out to 25-12, 25-7, 25-12.

Shania Rhamy paced Southwood's offense, picking up 15 kills. Rhamy got some help from Adi Deaton and her 23 assists. Rhamy was also solid from the service line: she led the team with five aces.

When it comes to explaining why Whitko lost, don't look at Caitlin Beer. Despite the final result, she had seven digs and three blocks.

Southwood's win bumped their record up to 10-2. As for Whitko, their loss dropped their record down to 8-8.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Southwood will take on Northfield at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Whitko, they will venture away from home to challenge Wawasee at 9:00 a.m. on Saturday.
