Soccer Game Preview: Springfield Southeast vs. O'Fallon + How To Watch

The Springfield Southeast Spartans are taking a road trip to challenge the O'Fallon Panthers at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Springfield Southeast's offense has struggled lately (the team hasn't scored more than a single goal for eight straight games), a trend the team is no doubt ready to end.

Springfield Southeast fell victim to Limestone and their airtight defense on Tuesday. They came up short against the Rockets, falling 9-0. While losing is never fun, Springfield Southeast can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Illinois soccer rankings (they are ranked 428th, while Limestone are ranked 156th).

Meanwhile, it was a proper cat-fight when O'Fallon took on Edwardsville on Tuesday. The Panthers never let the Tigers get on the board and left with a 2-0 victory. The win made it back-to-back victories for O'Fallon.

Carson Nix and Andre Addoh scored both of O'Fallon's goals, bringing their combined season tally to 12 goals.

Springfield Southeast's loss dropped their record down to 3-19-2. As for O'Fallon, their win bumped their record up to 9-6-2.

Springfield Southeast suffered a grim 9-0 defeat to O'Fallon when the teams last played back in October of 2024. Can the Spartans avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
