Football Game Preview: Wausau West Warriors vs. Arrowhead Warhawks

Two dominant backs in Miles Waldvogel and Jacob Siner are getting ready to go toe-to-toe. The Wausau West Warriors are taking a road trip to square off against the Arrowhead Warhawks at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Wausau West has given up an average of 25.8 points per game this season, but Friday's game will give them a chance to turn things around.

Wausau West is headed into the matchup having just suffered their biggest loss since September 27, 2024 on Friday. They were outmatched by River Falls and fell 56-19. The Warriors were in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 35-7.

Wausau West's defeat shouldn't obscure the performances of Cooper DePuydt, who rushed for 107 yards, and Shea Jones, who picked up 85 receiving yards and one touchdown.

Meanwhile, Arrowhead got themselves on the board against Kettle Moraine on Friday, but Kettle Moraine never followed suit. They blew past the Lasers 42-0. Considering the Warhawks have won five games by more than 22 points this season, Friday's blowout was nothing new.

The win (which was Arrowhead's fourth in a row) raised their record to 8-1. Those victories came thanks in part to their defensive effort, having only surrendered 10.8 points on average over those games. As for Wausau West, their loss was their fifth straight on the road dating back to last season, which dropped their record down to 5-4.
