Basketball Recap: Easton Area Starts Season with Loss on the Road

Easton Area had to start their season on the road on Monday, and it wasn't the start they were hoping for. The game between the Rovers and the Northampton Konkrete Kids didn't end well, with the Rovers falling 58-43. The Rovers were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Konkrete Kids apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in January.

Despite the defeat, Easton Area saw an underclassman step up: sophomore Josh Walkiewicz posted 16 points. Leo Castillo was another key player, putting up nine points.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Easton Area will challenge Southern Lehigh at 12:00 p.m. on Saturday. As for Northampton, they will look to defend their home court on Thursday against Louis E. Dieruff at 7:00 p.m.
