Football Game Preview: Ainsworth Bulldogs vs. Creighton Bulldogs + How To Watch

Ainsworth will venture away from home to take on Creighton at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Ainsworth will aim to continue their four-game streak of scoring more points each contest than the last.

Ainsworth is headed in fresh off scoring the most points they have all season. They took their game on Friday with ease, bagging a 71-6 victory over North Central. The Bulldogs haven't had any issues with the Knights recently, as the game was their fourth consecutive win against them.

Ainsworth's victory was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Jacob Ortner, who rushed for 96 yards and one touchdown on only seven carries, and also picked up 40 receiving yards and one TD. Another passer making a difference was Chris Fernandez, who threw for 107 yards and three touchdowns while completing 80% of his passes.

They were just one part of a punishing run game: Ainsworth was unstoppable on the ground and finished the game with 274 rushing yards. That's the most rushing yards they've posted since back in October of 2024.

Ainsworth's defense stepped up as well, laying out Keian Fischer five times. That dominant display was truly a team effort as five different players picked up one apiece.

Meanwhile, Creighton was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They were dealt a 66-24 defeat at the hands of Neligh-Oakdale. The Bulldogs were in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 36-8.

Creighton's loss dropped their record down to 2-4. As for Ainsworth, their win (their first of the season) made their record 1-5.

Everything came up roses for Ainsworth against Creighton in their previous meeting back in October of 2024, as the team secured a 60-26 victory. One of the biggest obstacles the team faced in that game was Creighton's Jorgan Condon, who rushed for 38 yards and a pair of scores, and also picked up 82 receiving yards and one TD. Now that he's got a second chance to win this matchup, will Ainsworth still be able to contain Condon? There's only one way to find out.
