Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Melbourne). They blew past the Satellite Scorpions 84-46 on Tuesday. Given the Bulldogs' advantage in MaxPreps' Florida basketball rankings (they are ranked 172nd, while the Scorpions are ranked 497th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

When it comes to explaining why Satellite lost, don't look at K'Dnce Cataldo. Despite the final result, he went 9 of 17 on his way to 28 points. Cataldo is trending in the right direction considering he's improved his point production for three straight games. The team also got some help courtesy of Christian Mcphilamy, who posted five points and four blocks.

Melbourne has been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 8-4 record this season. The wins came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 61.0 points per game. As for Satellite, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 5-7.

Melbourne didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 60-48 victory against Treasure Coast on the 8th. As for Satellite, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next game, a 58-52 loss against West Shore on the 10th.
