Baseball Recap: Hillside Comes Up Short

Hillside was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. They lost 10-2 to the Chapel Hill Tigers. If the Hornets were looking for revenge after losing 8-0 to the Tigers when the teams met back in April of 2025, then they'll just have to keep looking.

Hillside saw two different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Neil Howard, who went 1-for-3 with one stolen base and one RBI.

Hillside's record now sits at 5-5. As for Chapel Hill, the win snapped their losing streak at three games and leaves them with a 4-10 record.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Hillside will host Enloe at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday. The Eagles have struggled to contain batters this season (they've allowed 11.23 runs per game on average), something the Hornets will no doubt try to take advantage of. As for Chapel Hill, they will look to defend their home field on Wednesday against Apex Friendship at 6:00 p.m.
