Basketball Recap: Queen's Grant's Victory on Tuesday Extends Winning Streak to Three

Queen's Grant strolled into their game on Tuesday with a perfect record and they left with the same. Everything went their way against the Ambassador Christian School Lions as they made off with a 63-42 win. That's more bragging rights for the Stallions, who also won the pair's last head-to-head.

Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Queen's Grant to victory, but perhaps none more so than Za'Miya Bynum, who dropped a double-double with 18 points and ten rebounds. Bynum has been hot for a while, having posted 15 or more points the last 29 times she's played. Another player making a difference was Malone Hicks, who dropped a double-double with 12 points and 12 boards.

Queen's Grant smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 15 offensive boards. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now pulled down at least eight offensive rebounds every time they've taken the court this season.

Several Lions players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Gabby Troy-Mebane, who posted 12 points in addition to six rebounds and five assists. The team also got some help courtesy of Amelia (Bee) Layton, who put up 11 points.

Queen's Grant's victory bumped their record up to 3-0.

Queen's Grant wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next matchup, a 54-27 win against Carmel Christian on the 13th. As for Ambassador Christian School, they have also already played their next contest, a 57-20 victory against The Burlington School on the 18th.
