Recap: Paso Robles Bearcats vs. Morro Bay Pirates
The Paso Robles Bearcats have been a dominant force so far, but they're in the middle of a mini-slump at the moment. They fell 47-38 to Morro Bay on Tuesday. Paso Robles has struggled against Morro Bay recently, as their matchup on Tuesday was their third consecutive lost matchup.
Despite the defeat, Paso Robles saw an underclassman step up: Kate Harrington scored ten points along with nine rebounds. The team also got some help courtesy of Nevaeh Dyer, who scored eight points.
Paso Robles' defeat dropped their record down to 10-5. As for Morro Bay, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won ten of their last 11 contests, which provided a nice bump to their 12-4 record this season.
Paso Robles' road trip will continue as they head out to face Santa Maria at 7:15 p.m. on January 12th. Santa Maria will be looking to keep their four-game home win streak alive. Morro Bay will take on Cabrillo at 6:30 p.m. on Friday. The matchup should be an exciting one, as these teams are ranked near one another in California (Cabrillo is ranked 209th, while Morro Bay is ranked 227th).
