Softball Recap: Mountain View Takes a Loss + How To Watch

Mountain View was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. They fell 6-1 to the Dacula Falcons. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Falcons this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 9-1 back in August.

Gillian Brooks spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered just two earned (and four unearned) runs on eight hits. She has been nothing but reliable: she hasn't given up more than two walks any time she's pitched this season.

On the hitting side, Mountain View saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Emilie Pickens, who went 1-for-3 with one run. That run marked the first that Pickens has scored this season.

Mountain View's loss dropped their record down to 5-11. As for Dacula, their record is now 15-8.

Looking ahead, Mountain View will welcome Jefferson at 6:30 p.m. on Wednesday. The Dragons will roll in looking for their seventh straight win, something the Bears surely won't give up without a fight. As for Dacula, they will venture away from home to face off against Collins Hill at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday.
