The Leuzinger Olympians will challenge the Millikan Rams at 6:30 p.m. on Wednesday. Keep an eye on the score for this one: the two teams posted some lofty point totals in their previous games.
As a matter of fact, Leuzinger put up the most points they have all season on Monday. They walked away with an 81-71 victory over Chino. The win was some much needed relief for the Olympians as it spelled an end to their three-game losing streak.

Leuzinger's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Dylan Curry led the charge by going 6-for-10 from beyond the arc on his way to 26 points. With that strong performance, Curry is now averaging an impressive 16.2 points per game. Braylin Spencer was another key player, almost dropping a double-double with 16 points and nine boards.
Leuzinger smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 12 offensive boards. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now pulled down at least ten offensive rebounds in four consecutive matchups.
Meanwhile, Millikan didn't have too much breathing room in their contest against Beverly Hills on Monday, but they still walked away with a 59-55 victory.
Leuzinger better focus on containing Joseph Wicker and Quali Giran as the pair were huge in Millikan's win. Wicker dropped a double-double with 20 points and 11 rebounds, while Giran shot 43% from the field to rack up 22 points. Giran's big performance that evening made it four games in a row in which he has scored at least 17 points. The team also got some help courtesy of Jeremiah Hunt, who posted ten points along with five boards and three steals.
The win got Leuzinger back to even at 3-3. As for Millikan, their victory (their first of the season) made their record 1-3.
Rebounding is likely to be a big factor in this contest: Leuzinger has been crashing the boards this season, having averaged 24.5 rebounds per game. However, it's not like Millikan struggles in that department as they've been averaging 27 boards. With both teams battling to corral missed shots, we'll see if one team can grab an edge.
Leuzinger couldn't quite finish off Millikan in their previous matchup back in December of 2024 and fell 54-52. Can the Olympians avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
