Baseball Game Preview: Bristol-Plymouth RVT Craftsmen vs. Diman RVT Bengals

Bristol-Plymouth RVT is 1-9 against Diman RVT since May of 2018 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Wednesday. The Craftsmen are taking a road trip to challenge the Bengals at 3:30 p.m. Diman RVT took a loss in their last contest and will be looking to turn the tables on Bristol-Plymouth RVT, who comes in off a win.

Bristol-Plymouth RVT barely beat Southeastern RVT the last time the pair played, but that sure wasn't the case this time around. The Craftsmen blew past the Hawks 15-1 on Monday. That looming 15-1 mark stands out as the most commanding margin for the Craftsmen yet this season.

Bristol-Plymouth RVT got a big performance out of Kyle Weldon, who got on base in three of his four plate appearances with two runs, one stolen base, and one double. The team also got some help courtesy of Joe Benevides, who went 2-for-4 with two stolen bases, two RBI, and one run.

Dartmouth hit Diman RVT with a five-run second inning on Tuesday, which goes a long way in explaining the final result. The Bengals lost 10-0 to the Indians. The game marked the first time this season in which the Bengals were not able to get on the board.

The win made it two in a row for Bristol-Plymouth RVT and bumps their season record up to 6-2. The victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered a grand total of 4 runs in those games. As for Diman RVT, they dropped their record down to 3-4 with the loss, which was their fifth straight on the road dating back to last season.

The pitchers for both teams better look sharp on Wednesday as neither team is afraid to steal. Bristol-Plymouth RVT has been swiping bases left and right this season, having averaged 3.8 stolen bases per game. However, it's not like Diman RVT struggles in that department as they've been averaging 4.7 stolen bases. The only question left is which team can snag more.

Bristol-Plymouth RVT came up short against Diman RVT in their previous meeting back in May of 2024, falling 4-1. Can the Craftsmen avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
